Número Uno

First came love, then came a mission, then marriage, and now a blog!

It's been a long time coming, but now that we have been married for over three months it seemed like it was about time to document our lives. It's been one exciting journey for the two of us. We met in junior high, started to "like like" each other in the 9th grade, and have been dating ever since. We've gone through many hard times during the last 7 years of knowing each other, and I can honestly say that I'm sure we couldn't have gone through them without one another.  But it's the good times that have got us to where we are today, happily married for almost four months and still going strong. Marriage has been such a fun journey so far, and we cannot wait for the many years to come.

March of 2012 was a beginning of a new chapter in our lives, and here are some things that have happened since then.

This video was made by my dad, Jerry Stayner. He did such a good job, and made everyone at our wedding dinner cry. Thanks so much dad for putting so much time and energy into this amazing video that we will treasure forever.

On March 23, 2012 Jake got home from his mission. This was seriously such a happy time. Words cannot describe the feeling we both had on this day.

After he got home, we kept busy visiting the Idaho farm, and hanging with family and friends.

After a few months of getting to know each other even better than before, we decided that our feelings hadn't changed and had only grown stronger since we were fifteen years old. That is when Jake decided to take me on a date before I was headed to Lake Powell with my girl friends. I had been telling him how badly I wanted to hike Stewart Falls, so he decided that we better do that before I headed to Lake Powell. All along I thought the hiking date was my idea. Little did I know he had a few surprises up his sleeve, and he proposed on May 29, 2012 with the gorgeous Stewart Falls in the background, and a beautiful ring.

Just when I thought that was it, he surprised me with our favorite dinner from Wingers set up on the balcony of his grandparents cabin with a clear view of Stewart Falls.

Wedding plans began, and we were on our way to getting married. Everything turned out perfect. So many people would tell me that their wedding day was the happiest day of their live. When people would say that I didn't realize how true it was. Our wedding day was the happiest day of my life. It was so fun knowing that I was going to get to spend the rest of my life and all eternity with this person. Nothing compares to the feeling, and I still wake up every morning so happy for the decision we made to get married in the Temple, and be with each other forever.

Off to our honeymoon sweet at the Airport Inn...Only to head to Florida the next day where we enjoyed Universal Studios and Disney World for three days. Afterwards we jump on a cruise boat that took us to some Caribbean Islands. It was a dream wedding and a dream honeymoon to follow. Such an amazing day. We owe so many thanks to so many people, you know who you are! Thanks for helping us start our lives together.
